CRAZY!!!

Hey yall I didn't have alot of time to write this week cause I was pretty busy!! This week went super amazing! CHRISTMAS WAS AWESOME!!

Tuesday: we taught 2 lessons on tuesday one was more about our church and the other was with Jeanette Love again!! She is digging the church, we taught the Restoration and has just been feeling it is all true! We gave her the challenge to read the Book of Mormon we gave her and she is! She is gaining a testimony and has told us over and over again how she knows God has directed her to us and this church because she has been praying for that!! SHE IS AMAZING!! We ate Sushi with the Westenskows in our ward they are so cute they have two little kids, Alic and Winter! Winter is 4 and she IS SOOOO CUTE!! her and I played the piano together and then we played on the trampoline and then she showed me her very own princess room! So adorable!!

Wednesday: a slower day we did facebook finding and have potential people to teach we will see! We went to the Pynes house for dinner and they are so fun! They have 4 kids under the age of 10 and they are so cute! Maddy (8), Nora( 5) and Reid(1) were so fun to teach a lesson too, i taught them about gifts to the savior and they were shouting out what gifts they could give then we wrote them down and put them in a basketball so they remember!! Such a great family!!

Thursday: (Christmas Eve) we did Korea finding and some service but the highlight was district council!! I'll explain some things I learned in a little but it was just fun, we had our great discussion then after we made home-made pizza together, then played games and hung out and played sports then went home!!

Friday: (CHRISTMAS)
we had three families we went to!! We ended up at the Jagnandans, THEY ARE THE FUNNIEST PEOPLE!! they invited just about 15 elders and sisters over for brunch and it was so fun! Just an outstanding family!! We then went to the Ainsworths and they fed us some good food and we played apples to apples with the family! After we went over to THE FRANKS!! a Farley newly wed couple and they are great! We played games that I remember from home, we talked about traditions and about life!! SO DOWN TO EARTH!! AHHH

if you were wondering my mom gave me the 12 days of christmas and it was AWESOME!! so fun and thank you all who have sent stuff I really appreciate it and love you all!!

Saturday: did service at the Church with our district and the Frank's!! We had the chance to visit our favorite person ever, SANDY!! she is an older lady who doesn't really have any family most of everyone had past away and shes a convert to the church about 5 years ago! She has such a unique and powerful testimony! She loves missionaries SO MUCH!! she has a log of missionaries that come throgub with everything about them and I made it on there with a picture of us together!! :) shes goofy and talks so funny!

Sunday: went to church and helped out a guy in our ward with his son who has been struggling!! We were able to be a support for him! Then we gave the sacrament to SANDY!! and it was such a tender experience! She is literally so amazing!!

Anyway I don't have tons of time but I read more of where I was in the Book of Mormon in 3 Nephi and I'm learning soso much!! I also studied agency and Accountability!! I LOVED LEARNING EVERYTHING ON THIS!! two talks that really stood out to me were

1. Choices - President Monson (April 2016)
2. Where will this lead? - President Oaks ( April 2019)

Both such amazing talks!! We spoke on his previous talk
Good, better, best and how we need to choose the best choices and I love this quote right here
"Begin with the end in mind" -prez Nelson
This is so important because if we know what our goal/objective/destination is we will know where to go and what choices to make and the path we have to take! The COVENANT PATH!

our lives are on hinges and we choose how are destiny is! Choose the harder right then the easier wrong....
But ultimately just choose CHRIST!

IM GRATEFUL FOR WHAT I LEARNED!
I'm extremely grateful for our Savior Jesus Christ and His example and for His ultimate sacrifice for us! I know that this church is true!! I have had confirmation after confirmation out here that it is the true and living church on this earth! I KNOW it was restored by Jospeh Smith through God and I know he saw them with His own eyes! I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God and it is crucial for us in out lives it can help guide and help answer questions in our lives! I want you all to know how much my testimony has been strengthened in so many different principles and doctrines of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, because I have dedicated everything I am to His Church and His Gospel and I know that as you do as well you can Magnify your testimony so much more and not just that but it will ultimately CHANGE YOUR LIFE FOREVER!! I know this to be true because I have seen it everyday out here for me!! Seek to do this make it your focus in life because truly it's EVERYTHING!! love you all so much!! Have a fantastic week and I'll write more next week :) ❤

Love,
Elder Wold

Merry Christmas!! 🎄/ ALARMS?

Hello everyone! I'm currently writing this email at 3 am here in georgia at the stake center!!!! Haha man I'm tired, we had some problems with alarms (fire or carbon monoxide) in our home and were still not sure what's going on so we left and our trio is currently laying on the ground in the church haha picture will follow, but hey I get to write my email now! :)

Friends and Family!! This has been THE MOST SUCCESSFUL WEEK YET!! I am so so so  HAPPY! Nothing could beat it!

Tuesday: We were still quarantined on this day but made it very useful! We studied alot! I loved learning about, Helaman 5:12 "

"And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall." Love this! I read all in Helaman this week as well as 1 Nephi 8-12 about the Tree of Life! I've learned as we build our foundation on Christ we can always be protected from the fiery darts of the adversary! I love the word remember! Helaman teaches His soms alot about remember and how important it is! Like it says in the sacrament prayer, "that you will always remember Him" we make a covenant to do so! What are you gonna do to always remember Him throughout the week and throughout everyday?

We ended up making about 150 pumpkin muffins for some members in our wards that was a SUPER FUN experience HAHA great bonding time for us as companions! But later we were able to reach out and get to know those people and just Love them!

Wednesday: were out of quarantine!! We did lots today! We helped out a guy next door because he asked for help to the apartment complex and the guy in charge said that we'd be willing to help him and as did!! We helped him move and he was going to live in cantan and was Intrested in what we were kinda chatting about as we moved and so we told the Cantan Elders and they've been in contact! Later that day after our studies which again! Amazing study I'll take more about it, but studying the Book of Mormon and a little faster pace is nice so I can kinda get the whole run down. Anyway we went and got a couch for the sisters and it barely fit in our car! After that it was later and we had an extra long companionship study and did facebokk finding, we posted a new post but the last one had over 1k comments which is INSANE!! so weve been slowly messaging them, some cool stuff about that later.

Thursday: everything thursday was good but I want to focus on GREAT! we had found this lady on tuesday over facebook, so we had been messaging her and seeing if we can meet! She said that would be great, so we talked to her Thursday and we found out she had some people pass away in her life so we taught the plan of salvation! IT WENT SOOOO GOOD!! She had so many questions, she understand the whole thing too mostly, so our challenge was for her to pray about it and come to church on sunday! She committed to coming to church with her daughter!
(I have more just you wait!!!!) I started to also study from the Topical Guide under
"Self-Sacrfice" this is something huge I am working on! How can I completely sacrifice myself to the Savior and for His gospel! I learned about Abraham and His son, about Simon Peter and everyone putting their whole lives down and following Christ, about Christ sacrificing everything about Himself for us!! I have so much more to share but please please go check this out, I an completely blown away.

Friday: Today was zone conference!! WHAT A INCREDIBLE AND FUN CONFERENCE THIS WAS!! .... President and Sister Harris challenged us to come with a gift to give to the savior mine was, giving up myself and creating a closer relationship with Christ! We talked about how to do that, KNEELING AT HIS FEET!! I love that!

You are a ordained minister of Jesus Christ! Hearing this just hit me deep! Especially after listening to "FEED MY SHEEP" by Elder Holland again! Ether 12:27
"And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them"
This is Incredible, we all have strengths and weaknesses! Our goal is to continue in out strengths and using our strengths to strengthen our weaknesses! I was specifically called here to strengthen people while strengthening my weaknesses ---> that's the impression I felt during this meeting and I know it's the same for you all as well! Strengthen those weakness, turn to Christ he will show you how!
Dinner with Homans that night, Sweet little Lily Homan made me a card so cute :)

Saturday: we texted people in our ward to make sure Jeanette Love the person we found over Facebook could get a ride, with her daughter Destini, Jeanette is a single mom with her daughter, a niece, and two sons one of which is handicap and I was able to connect with her and tell her I know what it's like! Her and I have become close! After we figured out her ride We made mor muffins to give to less actives in our ward!
We then had the great chance to have DISTRICT COUNCIL!! man o man I love everyone in our district and you might say oh its because they're all sisters hardy har NOOO they mean so much more to me then you know! We have become close all together we ask questions constantly throughout the week, we share tender mercies, we ask for help, we teach what we learn! It has been incredible! At district council, I learned,
So much more about sacrifice and a ton about prayer, that was our focus! Praying with real intent, praying for people, family, friends, guidance etc. But most importantly praying to give thanks to our Savior Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father!! Prayer is so personal and special! PMG has so many great things with prayer that we can remember!

We then helped some people in our other ward and the sisters at Roy's home who has been previously taught with us and the sisters teaching! Hes a great guy! We dis yard work and the sisters stayed and chatted with him some more, after which we had our Zone Blitz AKA social media finding! We all get on a call and say a prayer as a zone then we all go out and find, I FOUND 7 people who are interested in learning more ANDDDD we have set appointments for them already this week!! LIKE WHAT.... MIRACLE :))) this is honestly the happiest I've been out here serving! Then of course Sunday happened...

Sunday: JEANETTE AND DESTINI CAME TO CHURCH!!  She said shell bring her son Hose who's disabled next week!Yaya we were so happy! Our district all together had 10 people at church this week! This is kinda un heard of! But I had the chance to sit next to Jeanette and tell her about our service and about the sacrament, she asked some great questions that I was able to answer, she then brought up a scripture we shared earlier that week with her and wanted to know what a different verse meant and I didn't know the answer and neither did my companions so when we got home we prayed about it then searched and studied everything we could to understand it and we got a great answer and were excited to share with her tuesday! Now THIS IS THE HAPPIEST IVE EVER BEEN! IM SO VERY EXCITED TO TEACH MORE PEOPLE especially because weve all become close over messenger sharing personal life stories and about our lives its just amazing the vulnerability of people seeking for Christ!!  Sunday night we sang Carol's to people that might feel alone during this time and we got to meet people we haven't met yet so that was exciting PLUS.... there's a family in our ward that only speaks Russian so weve been learning silent night in Russian and we sang it to the family!! They were grateful even tho we didnt do so hot haha! I cant even Express the Joy I have!! All I know is I want to keep at the happiness and Joy I only want it to increase:)!

Outstanding Week/Quarantine Week

HELLO EVERYONE!! man so we got told to quarantine tuesday and to get tested so we did, wednesday we tested negative! Went about our days then sunday we got a call that said we had to quarantine again so were getting tested AGAIN TODAY!! ahhhh so frustrating its just gonna come back negative but whatever haha were working so it's all good! This week was very spiritual!

Tuesday: got quarantined HAHA but it was still a pretty good day! This whole week my companions and I worked out everyday so feeling alot better, but Tuesday was transfers and we dropped off our friend Elder Kua hes back in South Korea now! Miss him lots but hes killin it! We also did service for Kathleen, I'll talk more about her later but she is the sweetest lady! She was hit by a bus 4 years ago and suffered some major head injuries but is pretty well with it now! She has a huge home but shes selling it to go live with her brother! So weve put a lot of hours at her house helping her get it ready! The cool stuff happened on Friday, so stay-tune! I'll share my spiritual thoughts I learned this week at the end

Wednesday: Wednesday was kinda hard being quarantined and just frustrating but we had a great day full of studies, comp study and planning our week! Becuae we knew we'd be negative the next day and we'd be free haha I learned alot and caught up in reading the book of Mormon for my challenge in 40 days! It's been great getting the whole story and understanding more then I ever have in my entire life! That post with 500 comments went to about a 1,000 comments and were still commenting HAHA so that's been great we also posted another service add so were gonna be super busy when we get out of quarantine! Then the millers brought us some food and we talked with them just a little!!

Thursday: kind of the same thing lot of studying which I'll elaborate more at the end of what I learned but we called lots of members and got to know them cause were over two WARDS now! Super fun! The bishop of the Chesstatee ward is amazing and we get along with him so well! We may basketball with them tuesday and thursday nights with non member YSA guys! Another family dropped off food and we talked with them for awhile!! We gotour results thursday and the first time and its negative! So we went and met a couple people went shopping and all that:)

Friday: FREE AT LAST! Okay here we go we went and did service for Kathleen, Nicole the other girl we wanted to give a book of Mormon too we haven't been able to go over yet but we will this week! But Kathleen is so nice! She has lots of Christmas decorations we put up and she gave us a ton for our apartment haha and she gave us a ugly sweater that we wore with her, after being with her for 3 hours talking about her life and everything she said she loves us and gave us the BIGGEST HUGS!! she said thank you for all you do! You are the kindest young men I've ever met in my life and I will never forget you! We shared our testimonies and the Book of Mormon with her and she was so happy we did! She said this means a great deal to you huh and I said yes it does and she was like I'd be willing to read and understand it!! BTW she calls me "stretch" it makes me laugh I was putting studd on her tree and she called out from the garage and said " Stretch I need you" HAHAHA shes so amazing! We then met with our sister in the Chesstatee ward and coordinated what we can do to help our ward!

Saturday: Early in the morning we went to this store called " the place" it's like goodwill but they also give out free bread and desserts to people! So we helped for a couple hours with the Spanish sisters! I used Spanish once here haha it was so bad but they had my back!! We then had our District Council and it was the best one I've ever had! It's our trio then 3 Sisters, 2 sisters but it went super well!!

We read "Finishers Wanted" by President Monson in 1972
This talked changed everything for me!! It's the talk were using for our transfer! I cant even Express and share everything I love! There is SOO so much! Please just read it! But I have thoughts of how it made me feel and things I wrote down

They wont remember what you say but they will remember the way you made them feel!! AHHH I LOVE THIS THOUGHT!! it's not about what you say but the way you make people feel! Keep this in mind during this season what can you do for someone!

Ooooooo this quote tho,
" He preferred the comforts of Earth to the Treasure of Heaven, He would not purchase the things of Eternity by abandoning those of time."

Think about this, how can we abandon time and really focus on eternity and Practice and Learn Heaven! Nothing else matters! It's about us making covenants and keeping them, learning as much as we can about the gospel, and relationships we make with people and the people we share the gospel to and us saving people! That's what matters, not the earthly or temporal things! We need to make a decision on what were gonna focus on! It should be Christ and His Gospel! that should triumph over all!
HE PROVIDES A WAY coupled with our effort!

"Effiecency is doing things right, Effectiveness is doing the right things!" This hit me hard!! Effiecency is good and is important but it's all about effectiveness, we need to be effective for anything to happen!! I promise as were all intentional and meaningful about the things we do we can become effective for others!  Please please please read this talk there's so much more I want to say but

Be a finisher my friends!! He hits 6 things that mark a finisher and I'll name them but j want you to take the challenge with me to accomplish those Mark's and become a TRUE FINISHER!!
1. The Mark of Vision
2. The Mark of Effort
3. The Mark of Faith
4. The Mark of Virtue
5. The Mark of Courage
6.  The Mark of Prayer

Becoming a true finisher is become like Christ and being Christ like!! Because Christ is the True and perfect finisher!

"the hour is come. … I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.” (John 17:1, 4.) “… into thy hands I commend my spirit. …” (Luke 23:46.)

Let's become like Christ and strive to develop the attributes he has and also the Mark's of a finisher! We can all be Finishers!!

Invitations:
1. Read "Finishers Wanted" figure out what you can do to be a true finisher
2. Read the Book of Mormon daily and understand it, go through it quick and understand the stories and the overview and also go slow and get the deepness of it and how it applies to you! (Apply it to yourself constantly that's how iyll make more sense)
3. Email me what you've learned from either one or about your own studies!

I love you all so much! Know that I am always here for you and I pray for all of you my friend and family! You mean everything to me!! <3

Love,
ELDER WOLD #stretch

WOW 1 transfer out (6 weeks in the field)

OHHHH MYYYY!! Time has just flown by! WELL HELLO EVERYONE! I cant believe I've been out for so long now! Not even that long but it was quick haha this week has been full of miracles and so many blessings! I'll explain more in the email! I'm just so happy the first weeks were rough we weren't doing as much as I thought we would be but we were quarantined and white washing, anyway! ITS PICKING UP MAJORLY!! were so so so busy everyday now and I know it took that hard and crappy days to get here but that's a blessing in itself! So the news is tuesday is transfers and were losing Elder Kua in our apartment hes going back to South Korea! So we got lucky and his companion Elder Shaw who was being trained like me is with us so it's a TRIO BABY!! and we cover two wards now! So we just picked it up on being super busy now were gonna be like overpacked haha so worth it!! SUPER EXCITED :)

Tuesday: So Monday our p day at night we went to the Scrimpshers the non members family and we helped with lights and ate dinner and had a message! The next day Tuesday Elder Payne and I were thinking about what was said! And he talked about Grace, we were thinking in our companionship study to maybe send him "His Grace is sufficient" by Brad Wilcox so we studied through and felt prompted to send it! He said hes gonna read it and has been so when hes all the way through hes gonna let us know!! Definitely going to be an interesting conversation I'm stoked!
We then went to the Stewart's home a family in our ward, they have a little kid and one on the way! They are so missionary minded and they love us! Hes so happy to have Elders so that we can be an example for His priest! Love that guy and His family! That night we played basketball with YSA and met 2 guys who were friends of others! They are cool and the YSA frisnds have been getting them to hear more about Chruch so well see what happens

Wednesday: We blew leaves for a couple hours for brother Newbold in our ward! Hes a great guy, single dad working from home for his 3 girls! Hes so fun! OOOO I forgot that morning in my study I caught up in my reading, I'm in Alma 33 right now and I need to be in Alma 44 so making progress! But man I'm grateful for this challenge I've been taking it slow to understand more but one thing I love doing for personal study is finding a word or something I want to learn more about like in my patriarchal blessing I wanted to learn more about consecration and alway self mastery so looked those things up in the topiclq guide and it has scripture after scripture about it and they have there own analogies and also different ways of thinking about it! SUPER POWERFUL DOING THAT! I'd suggest doing that :)! Then Wednesday night we went to the Simpsons home for dinner and they were just a great family! Missionary minded, and ready to work! They have a motto where if they do anything at all it's always together as one! I love it! Family should be your biggest tool of growing your testimony and growing your understanding and knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! I've realized I can be better even tho I'm on a mission I could have a call everynifht where we do have catching up but half reading together and studying and sharing our thoughts and testimonies about what we study and learn! I invite everyone to do this! I'll donit with you if you want too email me what you want to study for the week and I'll study it too and Monday we can email back and forth about it! I'd love that!

Thursday: COOLEST MIRACLE!!!! okay so we went to this ladies house super early for service and this is such a great story and I'm excited to see what happens,

So we show up and we talk and get to know each other (build that trust) btw shes super cool lady! We then start doing all this stuff, moving things, lights, packing... whatever it went super well! After we talk with her and we realized we think weve texted her last week about a service post we put on, she was like yeah we did haha and she said I was too prideful to let anyone come help me, then she said I realized yall are here to help because when you reached out again I knew it wasn't coincidence!! Nicole then said this wouldn't taken me a couple days to do and I dont have that time, yall did this in an hour haha ! We laughed and were about to head out but decided to share a thought with her from the Book of Mormon! We said this is from the Book of Mormon, have you heard of it she said I think I've heard of it but dont really know what it is, then right after that comment she said "MAYBE I SHOULD READ IT!!!"

I WAS SOOOO HAPPY!! we said yes we can bring you one next week when we come!! She was so grateful for us coming over and we shared Alma 36:3 about trusting in God in all things, we can be carried in our trials and afflictions and she then shared a personal experience of that and said it's so true! So were bringing the BOM this week and hopefully having a lesson with her!

That night we went to the Dewey's house again HAHAHA they love us so much it's awesome! They're older and just so nice and loving! After we went to the priest quorum activity to get to know some of those guys and one of the priest brought and friend named Jacob investigating the church so we got in contact with him!! Super excited to meet with him more!

Friday: we had district council in the morning and read two AMAZING TALKS THAT HAVE CHANGED ME SO MUCH!
1. "Ask in Faith" - Elder Bednar (2008)
2. "Anonymous" - President Monson (1983)
Anonymous changed everything and made me wanna change how I do things! Serve people without them knowing and that means even when you wanna tell someone what you did dont keep it annyomous, I love this," Rings and other jewels are not gifts, but apologies for gifts. The only gift is a portion of thyself.”
LOVE THIS!!!! this shows gifts you give are just apologies gifts is giving yourself in a way, like yo God and to others!! Think about this!! Love this quote and another and I'm just gonna say them and let you think about it!

1. " Only that which is truly given. Only that good which is done for the love of doing it. Only those plans in which the welfare of others is the master thought. Only those labors in which the sacrifice is greater than the reward. Only those gifts in which the giver forgets himself"

2. "A bell is no bell till you ring it,
A song is no song till you sing it,
And love in your heart wasn’t put there to stay,
Love isn’t love till you give it away."

Saturday: we had a great sports morning! Youth from our ward came and it was so fun!! Great opportunity to meet new people their friends! We called some people to talk to!! OH MY GOSH!!!! GUYSSSSS I POSTED IN A GROUP AND GOT 500+ COMMENTS!! that's like alot for missionary work! I have 6 people from that thar wanted to hear a message from us so that's solid!! Super happy! We got a new ward mission leader and we went over there at night to eat and coordinate! The wife goes back and forth from Arizona "surprise" to see her kids cause she was re married to Brother Stroud! Super great family! So fun talking to someone that knows about Arizona, she has a cabin in William's jist like me!! so we gotta talk about that area and I loved it!! So great!!

Sunday: we had church and I had a great study that morning! Testimony was great! Loved hearing how powerful our ward us!! I'm so grateful for this gospel friends! The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church here on earth and I KNOW! Joseph Smith restored Christ church in this dispensation! I want yall to know how powerful the Book of Mormon is! Absolutely insane I've been able to study so much everydat and I ve grown such a powerful and real testimony of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon and this church! Read the scriptures friends!! Its powerful come to know it's TRUEfor yourself! Turn to Christ in all things! He loves you, He died for you! He suffered all for you, He is your strong foundation and your rock! I'm gonna leave with you 2 scriptures!

1. John 14:27- "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."

2. Mathew 11:28-30- "
28.) Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29.) Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls

30.) For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Go check them out and tell me what you think! Also this Sunday night we found out I'm staying here but were taking another ward too and getting a guy in our apartment in a TRIO so Elder Shaw, Elder Payne and I in two WARDS!! SUPER HYPE AND READY :) love yall

Remember my invitations!! Please look through and change become better :)
