1st week in the Field

HELLO EVERYONE!! It's already been a week, CRAZY. well to start off as of yesterday my apartment is quarantined mainly because of me haha! So here's the story there is a sister who tested positive in our mission and it was right after transfers so me as a new guy was there. But.... I also sat right next to this sister on the plane. So my companion and I then two other missionaries are stuck in our apartment and we get tested tomorrow. So I will let y'all know how that goes haha.

THE MISSION HAS BEEN AWESOME SO FAR!! I have probably the best trainer ever! His name is Elder Payne, he's from New Mexico! Him and I connect on everything and we both absolutely love basketball! We've been working hard getting into our routine everyday and preparing!! We are in the Pilgrim Mill ward out in Cumming, Georiga. We’re in the Coal Mountain and Sugar Hill zone. Great area and lots and lots of fun people! The main thing we've done is Service weve had a couple insane storms that have knocked down trees everywhere! In the road, on houses, etc. So weve been doing a couple hours of service everyday. What a great opportunity to talk with them! Weve had chances to say a prayer with them then ask to come back and share a quick message sometime so super excited for that. But of course we are quarantined so we don't even know when we will be able to do that. But we are working today to re set up those appointments!

The members in the Ward are outstanding! Super nice and have such strong testimonies! I've learned a lot during my studies this past week! One thing that's stuck with me the first day from President and Sister Harris was "ALL IN"
It's time to be all in with everything and be a consecrated missionary! I love that they use consecration as part of being a missionary.
"The law of consecration is the law of the temple, it is the law of the celestial kingdom, and it is the law of a celestial mission."

I LOVE THIS!!
Tad R. Callister adds to this and says,

"A consecrated missionary is a missionary willing to lay everything on the altar of sacrifice and to hold nothing back. It is the willingness to give every ounce of energy, every conscious thought and every drop of passion to this work- to submit our will to Gods will whatever it may be."

This is my goal as a missionary so that I can be effective to those I teach and come in contact with! I want to be willing to leave everything " on the court" or in this case on the altar! I want to give all my energy, all my thoughts, and all my passion to this work and follow Heavenly Fathers will!! I invite you all whether on a mission or at home or wherever you are in life! Lay everything on the altar of sacrifice, look to help gather Israel, seek the will of God, keep your covenants, press forward in this work, and endure to the end! The time is now! We can't delay our repentance we can't delay saving a soul! I love this quote, (about teaching others and serving)

" sometimes people are so worried about offending people that in the process they never ever save them"

Be powerful, be respectful but firm through the Holy Ghost! We will be judged according to our works on this earth! We have the opportunity and the chance to save people everyday whether it be planting a seed in them, sharing your testimony, sharing a thoughtful message or even serving them and praying! We have a responsibility from God to do this! We have been taught non stop from our Prophet today how important gathering Israel is! I testify that this is true! Let's all fulfill the work we have been sent here to do! Come closer to Jesus Christ have him as your center

" He is our help and our shield"

I love you all SOO MUCH!! I have two weeks so feel free to email me ;)
