Your attitude on your mission is a reflection of your love for Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ

YOUR ATTITUDE FOR LIFE AND THE GOSEPL IS A REFLECTION OF YOUR LOVE FOR HEAVENLY FATHER AND JESUS CHRIST!!

HEY EVERYONE!!!! this week went pretty well!! :) Last week of this transfer already! That's so crazy!

I'm so so so happy to be a missionary!!
IT IS AMAZING!! sorry for the late email, we had a zone p-day and it was so fun we did a huge nerf war with all 20 something of us! And had a nice lunch and just talked. So incredible! Tomorrow is Zone Conference!! I'm stoked to go and learn!! The talk they challenged us to read is
"Be 100% Responsible" by Lynn G. Robbins it is a BYU speech!

We had the chance to meet with Sandy a single lady in our ward! She is roughly 65 or so! She is so sweet and loves having us over! We have had great discussions with her and she is convert of about 5 years ago and loves the Book of Mormon! We have been studying with her! We got into a great discussion about the 2nd coming because we read in 3 nephi about Christ and somehow it got brought up. It was great!! :)
We had a mission Devotional every morning this week and I loved it!! We were trained on different ways to find and also on ways to be more involved with members and wards with mission plans and especially being with Youth! They have been the key!!

Meals by Grace is a charity that we help with!! It is a great opportunity to talk to their families that go as we help them shop! We get to hear about their life and bring up Christ what a great opportunity! :) we started another new finding method and it's where you call your first 6 number which is the area code then you start at 0001 and work your way up to 9999! As stupid as it might sound it works! We have referred people! And wow I'll have to explain more sometime but we have things we do that make it meaningful and very personal, so we choose what we want to talk about!
Honestly though we have people in our pool obviously we want more so we find everyday for about an hour or 2! Then everything else is meetings, mission plans with ward members, lessons, service, working with youth in the ward and their non member friends! Its incredible! We had a great District council this week and I'll talk about that at the end but!
3 families:

1. Banchon Family
2. Schmidt Family
3. Krischel Family

The Banchon Family is a family who lives with the Vasques family who are in the spanish branch! And we have been teaching their kids who are 7 and 8 preparing for baptism! The mom was a member and recently has decided she needs to come back and her husband is in prison but has told the bishop he wants the missionaries over so that the kids have a father figure in their lives! So we taught the Plan of Salvation with the pictures and everything and spoke about baptism. It was outstanding!

The next is the Schimdt family! It is a husband and wife and the wife is a member and the husband is not but has read the Book of Mormon! He was drunk when we last went over, on sunday, but hey no judge there! It's hard because he knows it's TRUE and wants to come to church but the wife doesnt want him to because of stuff but.... Elder Larson and I had a heart to heart with her and she cried and gave us a huge hug and said this is what BO needs right now! YOU TWO! so I think we are really gonna make some strides here :)

The last family is the Krischel family they have a daughter who is baptized and they come to church every week, they have callings, they do come follow me, go to all the activities in the ward, (EQ, RS, etc.) They are amazing but they just dont believe in Jesus! SUPER INTERESTING! so we have been teaching them and we are going over again this week. I will let yall know!!

Anyway to conclude! DISTRICT COUNCIL WAS GREAT! I dont have tons of time to get into it but I have a very special talk along with another talk I love and listened to for the training!
ALL ABOUT SELF MASTERY!
• "Our Goal is Perfection" - Oct 1976 William H. Bennett
• "Self- Mastery" - President Nelson Oct 1985

Both Great!! I have so much to say about that topic like LEGIT I have pages and pages from the scriptures, confernce talks, personal experiences, AHHH

But read those too and really think about Self- Mastery and talk to me next week about it!!

Love yall so much!

Happy Valentine’s Day!!!

HEY EVERYONE!!! SORRY THIS IS SO LATE AGAIN HAHAHA

guys I've been a missionary for 4 and a half months!! That's crazy!! I'm so so happy for all the experiences I've had and the people I've met! Missions are definitely A1 if you're considering to serve one anytime soon! JUST DO IT!! best experience of your life up to this point! This week seemed long at some parts but overall incredible and so fun!! We saw miracles and such blessings, but we know we will see more as we submit our will to Heavenly Father’s and His son!

To start, this past week we had A ONLINE ZONE CONFERENCE!! but dont worry we get another one too in person the 23rd! But this zone confernce is what helped drive Elder Larson and my week! We learned so many important principles and ways to become the best misisoanires we can be! We had Elder Stanfill of the seventy with us along with Brother Donaldson! Two great men!! One thing that hit me throughout was the best missionaries PRACTICE!! it all comes back to that right there! And I think of the talk- "His grace is Sufficent" -by Brad Wilcox. I think of this talk because he talks about practice and using the analogy of the piano player! I love this quote,

"Were not earning Heaven,
Were learning Heaven"

I love this!! It applies because everything we do here helps us in eternity, and we need to practice everything in faith so that we learn more!!

As missionaries in the confernce we had opportunities to role play! What better way to learn, grow, and become confident! The way they taught us took on a whole different meaning! Role playing when we did it became personal, where they would ask my questions and I, as Nathan Wold, had desires to know if they are true! There is the power in practicing to teach people and through the practice you will be taught and teach missionaries as well! We were trained on how to better listen and not prepare for an answer but to have already prepared with your knowledge, and when the time comes, the Holy Ghost, which will guide you back to your knowledge, and will use you as an instrument to say and do what needs to be said and done!

I want to testify this to be true!! The next day after Zone conference we taught a lesson! I have studied the 1st lesson many times now and have taught it a decent amount of times! I would say I'm comfortable! During this lesson, it was with a man called Larry McBarry jr. We learned about his past and started teaching The Restoration! I was teaching and I started jumping everywhere, I was excited because I could see this man's divine potential, I could feel it! After a min or 2 of honestly probably not making sense 😂 I had the overwhelming feeling even to the point where I could hear a little voice say, Nathan Slowwwww downnnnn, stop, include your companion and teach through me!

HOLY COW!!! it hit me! I slowed myself and retraced a tad and started teaching, I paused and Elder Larson came in and started teaching, we started asking questions and bouncing off of each other! We bore testimony together of these things being true! We invited him to read the Book of Mormon and we went through and showed him different places to read and then to pray about these things with " a sincere heart, real intent, and with faith" and that God will show him that it is the truth! Larry took the invitation upon himself!! I know that it was through the Holy Ghost that the lesson we taught went from jumping around to through Him and making more sense! I'm grateful that I had the opportunity to be an instrument in God’s hands and manifest and testify to people through the Spirit!! :)

We had a lot of service this week! We painted yet again, we took customers of a charity to grocery shop and met some people who we are very excited to possibly have us start teaching, if they respond to us again. haha it's been like a day so patience lol. We started a new way of finding and I'll explain it next week! Because this week we’re doing it alot and I'll have more stories to tell!

WE HAD A CHURCH SWAP!!!! so we found this lady Jodi over Facebook and it started out as nothing but we were persistent and she became somewhat interested and she invited us to her church and we invited her to our church. Last Thursday they had a youth ministry night so we went to that with her 2 daughters who are around our age and their friends! It was very different but they did have some truths! They preached used a good analogy about how we need to disconnect everything from our outlet and connect first with God! The Mom of the girls was very impressed and is making us dinner and having us over this week then coming to church, our church, with her whole family! We are so excited, they are super kind and loving people!!

Sandy is an older lady in our ward and we have started to visit her 3 times a week on Tuesday, Thursday and to have a study and give the sacrament to her each Sunday! She became a member 4 or 5 years ago! And the sisters that taught her were the Sisters that got in a car accident here in Georgia and passed away! Super sad, Sandy has had a really rough childhood but finally found the church but from that has no family or friends that support her! She has the missionaries! We are her best friends! I'm honored to have met Sandy and to be able to be with her and see her grow her testimony each week! Last week we studied in 3 Nephi 16 and it was good, we got in a discussion about the 2nd coming and about the signs! She is super excited when the Savior comes again and it was fun talking with her!!

We spoke with Lori and there is so much going on with her daughter and family but she wants us to come back over and we taught her more from the Book of Mormon. She read some but this week we are doing a study with her (lesson) and we are excited to teach and talk more! Especially now because of all the many hard trials and difficult things going on!

We had a great District Council this week, a Sister gave a training about the Holy Ghost and it was amazing! I loved this talk,
"His Spirit to be with you!" - Elder Erying (2018, April)

WOWZA I HAVE SOMETHING GOOD!!!
Go to Mathew 10:32

"Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven."
So I have the coolest thought and I want you to understand and know this!
Christ is our advocate with the Father, so as we build our testimony of Him and preach to everyone, Christ builds His testimony in us!! HOW COOL IS THAT!!

another thing I love and i wanted to share from when I studied,
When Christ was in Gethsemane he had that point when he was Completely alone! And though we are never alone, sometimes it really feels that way, and I believe we have those times and feelings so that we REMEMBER what it was like when He is with us! So that we will always strive and do everything possible so that we can help Him !!

And the last little thing is this!! I challenged our District to find one thing this week to help them be more ALL IN!! I'm excited to see what we got!
I promise that as you are ALL IN with God and our Savior you can do absolutely anything you desire or God desires of you!!
I'm grateful for everything I'm learning out here and my amazing friends in my district and zone pushing me to become better!! I love you all and I appreciate the many emails and letters, I would love them to keep coming :)

HAVE A GREAT WEEK EVERYONE!!
LOVE,
Elder Wold aka

BUSY BUSY BUSY

This week has been the busiest week of my mission so far!! Constantly doing stuff!! We did service close to maybe 4 hours or more a day!! What a blessing that was to get out and do things while also finding and inviting people to hear a message and/or receive a Book of Mormon! We have a couple potentials now! And we ended up doing service for 2 new people this week! We invited them to church as well and they had things going on but are open to coming! We were able to work with a charity and help them get started in a new building! We met families that benefit from the charity and were able to speak with them! We are going again this week to interact with them! This could be a really great chance to invite and to find!!

We met with a sister in our ward and we will help her with service but she loves talking and made us dinner! Right after we went to a youths house who has his mom in the hospital right now and spoke with him for about an hour! Him and His mom really appreciated it! His name is Kyle and he is from Russia!!

Thursday we had our Distirct Council and it was Amazing!! We had a training on obedience! That was super important and had such a great discussion and conversation about it! I felt like we should sacrifce things all individually for obedience! So we set those goals for this week and were excited to keep each other accountable! There was a quote I loved from a talk i read! It was

" Maybe the journey isnt about becoming anything maybe it's about un-becoming everything that isnt really you so you can become who you where meant to be in the first place"

I love this because especially on a mission people think oh you need to change and become better and yes that's true in a sense. But I took this in the way of we should never let go of who we are! We are who we are! Our talents our personality was given to us by God! But He expects us and will help us change our habits, mindset, spirituality etc. And instead of the word change, I love upgrade! WE UPGRADE OURSELVES TO BECOME BETTER AND MORE LIKE CHRIST!! I love this analogy I heard, apps have bugs and things that need to be fixed and sometimes those apps need to be completely changed but MOST of the time they just need to be upgraded or updated to a better version to fix those bugs and problems and to make it better! THATS USSSSS!! We have bugs or trials and sins and weakness but we can upgrade and become better and stronger!!

Friday was Elder Larson's birthday!! So we got bombarded with treats and dinners haha the last 9 days we have had dinners! We love our ward and their missionary efforts and their mindset of being missionaries too!!

Saturday was a great day!! We had NOAH'S BAPTISM!! Noah is someone the Sisters have been teaching. We got to sit in on a couple lessons and be there but, he was so committed to the gospel. He is about 16 years old and it has changed his life and his family’s life! His mom is very interested and will probably be interested in becoming a member soon! She loves all the support and love and she can see the change in her son's countenance!!

After his baptism we were able to do service for a lady, Sarah! She is moving and needed help! She has a son with special needs and it was so fun to be around him, His name is Josh and he helped us move things! Him and I became pretty tight even to the point where when we were leaving he was handcuffing me and putting me into his car because I was under arrest. HAHA! He is the cutest thing and we had so much fun!! The mom really appreciated that and I told her we would love to help any other way we can and invited them to hear a message she said she would love too once they get settled!! We received 2 referrals last week and 1 today! So we will be visiting them this upcoming week and we messaged the 2 earlier and they want us over so this will he a great opportunity!!

We started a new way of finding on Facebook! We add people in our area to facebook then send them a 20 second video of explaining who we are and what we’re doing, then inviting them to hear a message!! And if they respond and say yes we send then a 2 min video or call and talk with them. This past week we started and we understand how its suposoed to work. We did it to 4 people but we found a better way to do it! Definitely will keep you posted!! OKAYYYYY A GREAT TALK TO LISTEN TO, HERE WE GO...

"Be 100% Responsible" - Lynn G. Robbins

READ ITTTTT!!! I was able to study alot in 1 Nephi this week as well with in Matthew
and it's so fun to read the scriptures in Matthew after watching The Chosen! You understand and can visualize many many things in the Bible now!! There are so many great things I want to share. When I have more time, I promise I will set aside time next week to share those great and marvelous things!

I love you all so very much!! Keep being you and striving to be the best you can!!

Love, Elder Wold

Snakes...(sorry I’m late)

Hey everyone! I know this email is coming late and I'm sorry about that! I was super busy doing things today! I'm so grateful for being on a mission I truly will just put it at that, this week has been probably the hardest week of my mission for sure! There has been lots of good things that have happened and blessings but it seems like a pit right now! Elder Larson and I are trying to figure out how to overcome these challenges! But... one thing I was able to do was find that one great blessing and the things that made me happy everyday throughout this hard week! We were able to do service for a couple people! We met this lady Jill and we went over to her house again! She is super nice and we had a great time with her and her kids and we also found two snakes so that was crazy haha! But we taught her part of the first lesson and second! We ended with giving her a Book of Mormon! Who knows if she is open to it but we are going over tomorrow for more service and to talk a little more! We have been really pushing to make missionary work huge in our wards weve set up ward mission plans in both wards then family mission plans for each family! We had President Harris and the Stake President come to our stake and they spoke to everyone about how important it is! During my interview with President he had council for me to help make everything more meaningful and to change how we did correlation things and to get more involved with the youth and set goals for every group in the wards to have one baptism in the next 4 months! So he wants me to implement and teach about the talk "Ask in Faith" - Elder David A. Bednar

This talk is amazing!! If you haven't read it, YOU NEED TO READ IT NOW!! also friends! Go help your missionaries! Ask about a family mission plan, be bold and try to invite friends to hear their message and tell them that you see their divine potential love them like Christ would! We are here on the home stretch! We need to be bold! If they truly are our friends they would be happy that wed share the joy in our lives with them even if they decline politely! The least we can do is ask and try to bring someone with us on the covenant path back to our Heavenly Father!!

We had a dinner almost everynight this week! We were able to follow up on mission plans and talk about the work and miracles weve seen! This is the most missionary minded stake I've seen!! Super happy to be here in the Pilgrim Mill and Chestatee wards! We had a fantastic District Council on Thursday! Weve really become closer as a district and have been trying to help each other out the best we possibly can! We have set goals for planning, teaching, and finding so that we can improve our key indicators and key activities! I felt the need to implement Role Plays! I feel like that is something we should do so the goal is 3 a week in your companionship then we will have them in DC and to try and do them with the youth or people in your ward! Super important to role play and leanr what to say and maybe be a little more comfy with that!! Especially those who are not misisoanires who have said that's the biggest struggle!! We had a 24 hour exchange with the ZL and it went really well!! They taught me some really good things on how to be even more effective and some guidance for our companionship! We ended up painting Lori's  (a lady we met over Facebook) whole house!! So we are doing that tomorrow as well!

We found a new way to Facebook find that is really gonna kick off this week! I will let you know next week what that is! I think itll be super effective! We also had the chance to go to Sandy's the lady in chestatee ward that's so fun! She loves the scriptures and is a convert about 5 years ago she is roughly in her 60's and shes lonely so we love being over there!! We also went over to be with the Schrimsher family again! They are amazing and honestly I think there is a chance to maybe start teaching the lessons again! They have been friends with missionaries for years and years now so we will see! We also have 2 part member families that we are gonna go teach with Bishop Goulding this week with the sisters as well, we feel like this is what we should do, pray for us and for them to be open go listening and to be able to feel the spirit because they are both very logical and metaphorical! I know this week was not the best and it had very very many lows that maybe I didnt explain but..
I know this upcoming week will be different if I change my attitude and I just work and strive to be obedient! I read these talks,it was in district council, but it hit me even harder I want yall to go find and read them
• "Confidence and Self-Worth" - Ensign Jan 2005
• "Becoming like Him" - Scott D. Whiting Oct 2020

I love you all! Sorry thus was short and all over... I'm grateful for everyone's support and ALL the nice emails I get! I appreciate you! I love you! I hope y'all have the best week, I'm praying for ya!!
