What in the Miracles!

I’M SO SORRY EVERYONE!!!! I've been so terrible at writing emails back on this one and to individual people! Next week I set aside time to do that so don’t be afraid to email me next week I promise I'll email back!!

These past two weeks have been great!! We have seen so many miracles! The work is hastening! People are ready and that's meant for us that we need to be ready! The last 2 weeks we’ve had 4 different exchanges! One of those were with the AP'S! they are awesome!! Definitely taught me alot and helped me become a better missionary, fixing roles plays, how to be more effective on exchanges, other things I can study, etc.

Just like past weeks we have had 3 or 4 lessons about everyday!! This past week was a little slower but we’ve been teaching alot!! We have Jade Cash being baptized this week on sunday after General Conference!!

Oh how happy I am for General Conference!! ITS LIKE A HOLIDAY OUT HERE!

• We had a lesson with Rachel, she is a high school student and wants to learn more, he family is baptist but after our lesson she seemed like she wanted to understand more, that's great!

• then there is Samantha she is also in High School! And she is Roman Catholic but was really blown away by how much what we taught made sense, so we have a lesson with her this week!

• We had a lesson with Tonya! She is older lady and she is someone who could 100 percent be on date this upcoming week!

• we have Sister Dykes in our ward, and her little grandson Jeremiah! Wants to be baptized but doesn’t really go to church, so we went over and he told us he wants to be baptized! So we are going this week to come up with a date and help him understand more and support him! He is so cute!

• Tandy is a 65 year old who wants to be baptized (KINDA) she knows the Book of Mormon front to back! But she has some fears! All of her kids are members, but many have passed on, so we have a lesson tomorrow to kinda be bold but with love and explain to her the Plan of Salvation and her son on the other side of the veil working hard and about how he was baptized and having her think about that! We gave her Mosiah 18 to read as well as D&C 76. She loves to read so it's good haha

* OH MY GOODNESS THIS IS HUGE!!

A man named Elshawn and His friend Mallika! We started talking to them a couple days before this past Saturday! And when we got there we introduced ourselves and Elshawn said wow y’all have such a light about you! I can see it flowing above your head! HOW INCREDIBLE!! anyway we went on to learning about them and man o man they told us everything! They explained how they have been dropped by friends and have been in bad areas and things in their lives and they wanted to start new! Elshawn said "I have no doubt there was a reason you called me when you did!" We taught them the beginning of The Restoration but more so understood and addressed their needs!

Their story is truly sad but is gonna be so remarkable! At the end we just cried together! We told them about church and they came! They are definitely the most prepared people I've taught! They have such a desire to change!

•  Chris is a guy we found on Facebook on Saturday night and we invited him to church! HE CAME!! He loved it! And after church there was a baptism so we brought him and taught him the whole Restoration! He loved everything! He has been reading the Book of Mormon already! He said I've never been baptized can I be baptized here!! We said of course! We'd love to talk more this week! So we have a lesson here soon!

• last person sorry haha! Albert is someone we found on Sunday night! He is from Ghana and lived in Italy! He loves the missionaries but they stopped teaching him about a year ago! He goes to a different church but he wants us to come back over this week on Friday!

All I can say is miracles!! I'm grateful to have had the chance to be an instrument in the Lords hand all the time!! We had zone confernce last week! And us and the Sisters gave a training about listen and asking questions (ch 10 of Preach My Gospel) we told them the why, why we need it! Then the what it is, and the how! We brought members for the companionship to role play with!! Everyone killed it!! It was such a tender mercy to have given that training then literally using it 2 days in a row 3 days later!! SO INCREDIBLE!!

I have started studying deeply about Jesus Christ and His Atonement this week for Easter!! Oh how powerful it has been! Gospel library has everything I could ever ask for along with all these things you can find in missionaires apartments haha! Anyway I dont have a ton more time but I promise I'll share more doctrinal thoughts and things I've learned for myself and from President Harris next week, I wrote them down don’t worry!!

I love you all so much and I'm so extremely grateful for the examples I have in my life!!

Tender mercy this week

Tender mercy this week was I have definitely improved in teaching and becoming a better me! I'm becoming a better missionary while keeping who I am!! We put a little girl on date this week to be baptized!! So that's exciting! We are texting so many people!! Probably close to 4 or so lessons a day!! I'm extremely blessed to be here and with the people I'm with! No doubt in my mind we came together for this specific reason to bring many souls into Christ!

It is so important to be unified! That's something we talk a little about for our Zone! And what we can do as zone leaders to love our zone! To help them the best we can! To unify them to be better!! Etc. Jesus Christ does want us to be like him that's what I've come to a knowledge of as well!! It’s becoming like him and how everyday I truly am becoming perfected! I have a long way to go but I'm striving and it's important to have the extremely close relationship with the Savior!!

My favorite talk so far this week is either, ● "Eyes to see" by Sister Craig Oct 2020 ●"Following Christ to Victory" - April 1978 (Hartman Rector, Jr.)
● "You can do It now: - President Uchtdorf (Oct 2013)

I love all of those with a passion!!

Love,
Elder Wold

Busy...But Miracles

I'm so sorry everyone!! I actually missed a week! I didn’t think it would actually happen haha anyway! These past 2 weeks have been insanely busy, I'm in Lawernceville now in the Lilburn Zone! I'm with Elder McNeil and Elder Killpack! Both super amazing missionaries. Elder McNeil goes home after this transfer and Elder Killpack is at 17 months!

This new area has so many people that were previously taught and lots of interested and potential! So the work has been crazy busy! Teaching many lessons a day! The first week I was here we wanted to find even more people so we read through the former people and started talking with them and had a couple who were interested!

2 sundays ago we had a Zone Fireside and the Stake Presidency came! Us and the Sisters gave a training and held a discussion about the things we want the zone to accomplish!! Then on Tuesday we had Missiom Leadership Council! I learned alot, many things about what they expected from our zones and different ideas on how to address concerns of friends we’re teaching and how to ask better questions and listen! So we took that and made a plan and a outline to set the zone up to help them!! This past week has been amazing and we’re seeing lots of success already! We had 161 people at church in the month of February and doubled the number of baptisms to (26) Let me tell you, the field is white already to harvest! I love this analogy too

You know we have the Sickle the tool to harvest and our president said we are the sickle and God is the farmer and we need to be ready and sharp and worthy to be used as an instrument in his hands!!

Then we took that farther and said God is the farmer and we are THE COMBINES! we are a tool that needs to be functioning properly, clean, sharp and ready, diligent, obedient to the command of the farmer! And truly

"Ship-shape and Bristol fashion!"

I have learned so much about missionary work in the short 2 weeks I've been with my new companions

We started to pilot Instagram for our mission and it works alot better then Facebook! We hit the category of 18-30 year olds and have had much success with using it! We had a lesson the other day with melody who is 17 and interested in learning more!! We had 2 referrals come in the other day and taught Matt and Anthony, Matt is about 30 and is interested about what the Book of Mormon is and why Joseph Smith is important so we had a great lesson with him with lots and lots of questions! Anthony is 19 and is really open to knowing more! He has started reading the Book of Mormon!

We met with a member in our wards son and his kids. So its Dylon, and Jayseeon, Jerimiah, and Cameron! We taught them outside of their house along with other kids in the neighborhood who wanted to come there! It was so cool!!

This week is super exciting! We have more exchanges this week! And we are putting a person on date to be baptized! Her name is Jade Cash and her family is a part member family and we’re working with them! She is 9 and super excited, she should be baptized the first of April! then we have Bludy and Yennifer who we are still praying about a date to be baptized but are thinking to just give them a soft invitation to be baptized and bringing it up!

Oh yesss John Herrea! My man is amazing! He is a super recent convert that is now a member missionary! We helped him with his talk in church this last sunday and it was amazing! He has such a strong testimony!!!! On my facebook I posted his story and testimony go watch it! He has friends he wants to teach so we are working with him and them!! :)

What a ton miracles this week with all those lessons and people we met!!

I learned alot about teaching by role playing everything! I've learned how to be myself as a missionary and to keep my personality and who I am while being obedient, consecrated and an example!

I know this is long but I want to share something personal that made me change! The end of last week during a role play I butchered part of the lesson and I just didn’t feel like I was a good missionary! I felt like I wasn't good enough to teach, and I lost confidence in teaching. So later I went and prayed to Heavenly Father! Telling him all these things and asking for help, to be a confident teacher, a better missionary, how to be a good example and to ultimately help to further his work by being myself! As I finished that prayer I went and studied to find answers! As I was studying I came across a talk!

"Seek Christ in every thought" - Elder Soares Oct 2020!

As I read, Elder Soares quoted D&C 121: 34-40

" Desires, determine the gradations in outcomes, including why many are called, but few are chosen."

This took me straight to my Patriarchal Blessing! As I read my Blessing, everything was outlined differently than I remember seeing before! It gave me guidance and comfort on being a great missionary and help on being a better one and a true instrument in his hands! It was amazing to see the different things he has given me to fulfill his purpose! I'm so grateful for Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ! They are always there for us and help us when we ask, seek, and knock! The Holy Ghost will manifest those things to us! I'm grateful for my Patriarchal Blessing and the guidance its given me to strengthen me and give me exactly what I need at this moment and for the answers it has to my questions! I know from receiving that personal revelation I've strengthened my relationship with my Savior and my Father and that I've begun to develop myself as disciple of Christ in the way I am and in the way he needs me to be!

I love this work, I love all of you, I love being a missionary, I love Christ and His gospel.

Thanks everyone for the amazing letters and emails and love!! If y’all wanna send anything this is my address:

5 months out!

Elder Wold called on his pday and told us that he has 2 companions and then there’s 2 other Elders in the house they live in. They’ve been really busy and he’s learning so much from his companions.

He said that 80% of the missionaries in his mission have been missionaries for 9 months or less!

Transfered! Heading to Lilburn

HEY EVERYONE!! SO EXCITED TO TALK THIS WEEK!! such a great week! Elder Larson and I killed it! We felt like I'd leave so we worked hard!! I am getting transfers Tuesday to Lilburn zone, I will be in the area Lawrenceville! I'm excited to learn alot from the missionaries there and become a better missionary as well! And I know that there are people that I will meet and teach that I know I was meant to! I'm so stoked to be able to go here!! I will keep this email relatively short for this week!

We did alot of finding and found 4 new people to teach in the area I just left! And we set those appointments for them this upcomingweek!! I was able to connect with some families in our ward and I'm sad we left them! They are really into missionary work!! I'm excited to hopefully come back and see the growth that is happening here! I had the amazing experience to give a talk in church on Sunday! I spoke about Personal Revelation and testified and shared personal experiences about the things I've learned and done to receivethat! ! A talk I would recommend Is President Nelson's talk in April 2018- "Revelation for the Church, Revelation for Our Lives"
Then a talk from Elder Bednar! April 2007, " The Spirit of Revelation! I spoke about multiple things we can do to prepare ourselves and stay worthy and in a place where we can receive the revelation including, scripture study and confernce talks really scuba diving in those!! Then praying having a heart to heart with God I have found the best way is to have questions, have idea for those questions, get paper and pen and write out your impressions!!! I testify that it works! I have done it many times on my mission and I have seen miracles happen and I have received answers I needed! Sometimes it takes time maybe weeks or months but they will come!! I invite you all you to act on the things I've spoken and try it out and then when you receive those impressions or thoughts or direction act on it!! I love the quote, "we cannot survive spiritually without personal revelation" GOD LOVES YOU AND WANTS TO HEAR FROM YOU!!

This week we also met with Bo Schimdt a non member in a part member home and he is a great guy I actually just saw him before I left! He knows the gospel is true and knows the Book of Mormon is true and i know he will find his way to the covenant path!! He said he will come visit me in Lawrenceville, that's where he grew up and where his parents are so I'm excited to see him!

Friends!! This upcoming transfer is gonna be amazing and I have a feeling I will have alot more to share about the things I learn as well as cool experiences teaching the gospel! There are so many amazing things I've learned!! Including a training that one of my favorite missionaries  in my district gave! Sister Coleman talked about how we need to know we are successful missionaries and gave us paper to write what we want to become and we put it in a envelope and we sealed it until the end of our mission, when we are on the plane we will open it!! :) I know that I can become the person as I strive to do Heavenly Fathers will!! He loves us! In preach my gospel it has a section called A successful missionary!! I honestly think it applies to everyone, especially us as members of the church, I want to invite yall to check it out it is the first section of PMG "My Purpose" it is one of the last points!

I love yall so much and I'm excited to share more! Sorry this week was short I only had an alotted amount of time but I will definitely share more next week and give myself time to write!! I love you!! Have a fantastic week keep killing it in school, at home, on your missions, you all mean so much to me!! <3
