Busy...But Miracles

I'm so sorry everyone!! I actually missed a week! I didn’t think it would actually happen haha anyway! These past 2 weeks have been insanely busy, I'm in Lawernceville now in the Lilburn Zone! I'm with Elder McNeil and Elder Killpack! Both super amazing missionaries. Elder McNeil goes home after this transfer and Elder Killpack is at 17 months!

This new area has so many people that were previously taught and lots of interested and potential! So the work has been crazy busy! Teaching many lessons a day! The first week I was here we wanted to find even more people so we read through the former people and started talking with them and had a couple who were interested!

2 sundays ago we had a Zone Fireside and the Stake Presidency came! Us and the Sisters gave a training and held a discussion about the things we want the zone to accomplish!! Then on Tuesday we had Missiom Leadership Council! I learned alot, many things about what they expected from our zones and different ideas on how to address concerns of friends we’re teaching and how to ask better questions and listen! So we took that and made a plan and a outline to set the zone up to help them!! This past week has been amazing and we’re seeing lots of success already! We had 161 people at church in the month of February and doubled the number of baptisms to (26) Let me tell you, the field is white already to harvest! I love this analogy too

You know we have the Sickle the tool to harvest and our president said we are the sickle and God is the farmer and we need to be ready and sharp and worthy to be used as an instrument in his hands!!

Then we took that farther and said God is the farmer and we are THE COMBINES! we are a tool that needs to be functioning properly, clean, sharp and ready, diligent, obedient to the command of the farmer! And truly

"Ship-shape and Bristol fashion!"

I have learned so much about missionary work in the short 2 weeks I've been with my new companions

We started to pilot Instagram for our mission and it works alot better then Facebook! We hit the category of 18-30 year olds and have had much success with using it! We had a lesson the other day with melody who is 17 and interested in learning more!! We had 2 referrals come in the other day and taught Matt and Anthony, Matt is about 30 and is interested about what the Book of Mormon is and why Joseph Smith is important so we had a great lesson with him with lots and lots of questions! Anthony is 19 and is really open to knowing more! He has started reading the Book of Mormon!

We met with a member in our wards son and his kids. So its Dylon, and Jayseeon, Jerimiah, and Cameron! We taught them outside of their house along with other kids in the neighborhood who wanted to come there! It was so cool!!

This week is super exciting! We have more exchanges this week! And we are putting a person on date to be baptized! Her name is Jade Cash and her family is a part member family and we’re working with them! She is 9 and super excited, she should be baptized the first of April! then we have Bludy and Yennifer who we are still praying about a date to be baptized but are thinking to just give them a soft invitation to be baptized and bringing it up!

Oh yesss John Herrea! My man is amazing! He is a super recent convert that is now a member missionary! We helped him with his talk in church this last sunday and it was amazing! He has such a strong testimony!!!! On my facebook I posted his story and testimony go watch it! He has friends he wants to teach so we are working with him and them!! :)

What a ton miracles this week with all those lessons and people we met!!

I learned alot about teaching by role playing everything! I've learned how to be myself as a missionary and to keep my personality and who I am while being obedient, consecrated and an example!

I know this is long but I want to share something personal that made me change! The end of last week during a role play I butchered part of the lesson and I just didn’t feel like I was a good missionary! I felt like I wasn't good enough to teach, and I lost confidence in teaching. So later I went and prayed to Heavenly Father! Telling him all these things and asking for help, to be a confident teacher, a better missionary, how to be a good example and to ultimately help to further his work by being myself! As I finished that prayer I went and studied to find answers! As I was studying I came across a talk!

"Seek Christ in every thought" - Elder Soares Oct 2020!

As I read, Elder Soares quoted D&C 121: 34-40

" Desires, determine the gradations in outcomes, including why many are called, but few are chosen."

This took me straight to my Patriarchal Blessing! As I read my Blessing, everything was outlined differently than I remember seeing before! It gave me guidance and comfort on being a great missionary and help on being a better one and a true instrument in his hands! It was amazing to see the different things he has given me to fulfill his purpose! I'm so grateful for Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ! They are always there for us and help us when we ask, seek, and knock! The Holy Ghost will manifest those things to us! I'm grateful for my Patriarchal Blessing and the guidance its given me to strengthen me and give me exactly what I need at this moment and for the answers it has to my questions! I know from receiving that personal revelation I've strengthened my relationship with my Savior and my Father and that I've begun to develop myself as disciple of Christ in the way I am and in the way he needs me to be!

I love this work, I love all of you, I love being a missionary, I love Christ and His gospel.
